How long does the Georgia Aquarium take to go through?

If you want to see the entire aquarium, three to four hours is recommended. Weekends are busiest times, so be sure to arrive early.

Does Georgia Aquarium have parking?

Yes, covered and rooftop parking is available at the official Georgia Aquarium parking deck, located at 357 Luckie Street, NW Atlanta, GA 30313. Entrances are located on Luckie Street and Ivan Allen Jr. Boulevard. Discounted parking for Aquarium guests is $11 for members and $12 for non-members. The general parking rate is $17.

What are the hours for the Georgia Aquarium?

Standard operating hours are Monday – Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday – Sunday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. They have extended hours during the summer and holidays, and will occasionally close the aquarium early for private events. The last ticket sold and entry is one hour before closing.

Can I bring a stroller?

Strollers are allowed at the Georgia Aquarium, but leaving them at home is highly recommended. If you need to bring a stroller starting June 20, 2023, please follow these stroller policy guidelines: Strollers cannot be larger than width: 29 in or 72 cm and length: 52 or 132 cm. Wagons, wagon strollers, push cars, jogging strollers and ride-on are not permitted. Strollers or wagons for medical or sensory purposes are exempted from this policy. Still, please leave a note at the "Have Special Needs?" when booking your reservation if you'll use specialty strollers or wagons.

What can or can't I bring into the aquarium?

You can bring your refillable bottles and reusable drinking straws during your visit, as the aquarium has bottle-filling stations throughout the building. Guns, knives, matches, lighters, fishing poles, outside food, beverages, balloons, disposable drinking straws, and gum are not allowed inside Georgia Aquarium.

Is re-entry permitted?

Guests may exit and reenter Georgia Aquarium during their visit by getting their ticket stamped at the Information desk.

Can I bring my pet into Georgia Aquarium?

No, pets are not permitted. Only service animals that assist people with disabilities (excluding emotional support) and working dogs in training are allowed inside Georgia Aquarium.

Can I bring my own food and beverages into the aquarium?

No outside food or beverages are permitted in the aquarium with the exception of small snacks for children or visitors with food allergies. The aquarium has several water bottle filling stations and encourage guests to bring a refillable water bottle for your visit.

Can I bring my camera?

Yes, cameras are permitted for personal use only. However the use of flash is prohibited in the presence of some animals. Please refrain from taking photos in the sea lion and dolphin presentations, and in the 4D theater.

Does the aquarium have locker rentals?

No. You will need to carry anything you bring into the aquarium for the duration of your visit.

Does the aquarium have dining options?

Yes. Guests may purchase food and drinks from Cafe Aquaria.
