Description

Explore the rich history of the City by the Bay on a bike tour with a knowledgeable local guide!

This iconic bike tour begins in San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf, one of the only true wharves of its kind left in America! From there, your journey follows the curve of the coast to see sea lions, the military fort, and the city’s best view of the bridge. You’ll bike over the Golden Gate Bridge for priceless views of the area’s unique topography and skyline. Once over the "International Orange” Golden Gate Bridge, coast downhill into sunny Sausalito, where you’ll hop on a ferry with your bike in tow for an easy ride back to the wharf.

The tour begins at Bay City Bike Rentals & Tours' Fisherman's Wharf Tour Center at 2661 Taylor Street, where you will be outfitted with a current year model bike with a front handlebar bag, a rear gear rack, and a map.

This tour then departs and follows the guide along the San Francisco waterfront, past Aquatic Park, Fort Mason, the Marina, and the Presidio, through Crissy Field, and to Fort Point. Riders cross the Golden Gate Bridge on a wide bike path through Vista Point to Old Fort Baker.

The tour finishes in Sausalito, where you can enjoy the shops, the many art galleries, and the delicious food. You can return right after the tour via ferry (ticket sold separately) or choose to keep the bike until closing hours, enjoying a BONUS BIKE RIDE!
