iFLY Austin is an indoor skydiving facility boasting vertical-wind-tunnel-powered skydiving simulation that is safe and fun for all ages and skill levels.
iFLY Austin is located about 20 minutes north of Downtown Austin at 13265 North US 183, Suite A, Austin, TX 78750.
The iFLY indoor facilities recreate the freefall portion of a skydive with its recirculating wind flow, similar to skydiving flight experiences. Skydivers worldwide use wind tunnels as training facilities because of their similarity to the real thing.
Each flight within the wind tunnel lasts 60 seconds. When jumping from an airplane, the free fall portion lasts approximately 45 seconds. Your admission has two (2) flights, so you will have two (2) turns in the wind tunnel with an instructor lasting 60 seconds each. The entire experience lasts 1.5 hours from start to finish.
Yes, the iFLY vertical wind tunnel uses superior technology to produce smooth wall-to-wall airflow that is safe to fly in. Certified flight instructors will also ensure safe and enjoyable flight sessions—your instructor will be with you throughout your flight, regardless of your experience level.
Individuals who weigh over 300lbs will not be permitted to fly. Flyers weighing between 260–300lbs require additional evaluation by an iFLY staff member upon check-in to determine if they can be accommodated and whether additional restrictions apply.
There are no height restrictions.
You must be at least three (3) years or older. Flyers under the age of 18 need to have a parent or guardian present to sign their flight waiver.
Yes, flying is not recommended for guests who are pregnant, have non-removable hard cast/prosthetics, head, neck, back, or shoulder injury, or have a heart condition or any other condition that may impede their ability to take part in physical activity or increase the risk of injury.
Flight suits will be worn over your clothes, so casual non-restrictive clothing (preferably pants and a shirt without a collar) should be worn, along with well-fitting, lace-up sneakers or running shoes. Flyers with long hair should secure it back braided or in a low bun to fit the helmet.
Yes, iFLY has larger goggles that can fit over eyeglasses.
