Enjoy two (2) one-minute flights in a state-of-the-art wind tunnel, similar to the 45-second freefall portion of an actual skydive.
The total experience lasts approximately 1.5 hours from start to finish.
Ages 3 and up can enjoy the thrill of flying in a fun and safe environment with supervision by certified instructors.
Max weight limit to participate is 300lbs. Guests weighing between 260–300lbs are subject to additional evaluation by local staff to determine if they can be accommodated.
Please wear casual clothes and well-fitting lace-up sneakers or running shoes—you'll wear a jumpsuit over your clothes.
Goggles are large enough to be worn over eyeglasses but secure your hair in a braid or a low bun to fit the helmet.
Flying is not recommended for guests who are pregnant, have non-removable hard cast/prosthetics, head, neck, back, or shoulder injury, or have a heart condition.
Flyers under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present to sign their flight waiver.

You'll receive a training session with a world-class flight instructor, who will show you the basics and then gear up with your flight suit and helmet and get ready to take your turn in iFLY's state-of-the-art vertical wind tunnel. From first-time flyers to seasoned pros, indoor skydiving at iFLY is safe and fun for all ages.

Located just 20 minutes from downtown Charlotte, iFLY is the world leader when it comes to vertical wind tunnels. Four fans optimally located at the top of the flight chamber produces the perfect airflow that is smooth and fun to fly in. This, combined with professional instructors, makes for the most exciting flight experience possible.

At iFLY, you will learn how to fly your body in a controlled manner with the assistance of your instructor. Professional flight instructors will provide you with all of your flight gear, along with the fundamental skills for bodyflight through a classroom training session. All you have to do is get ready to smile because this will be the most exciting thing you have ever accomplished!

Skydivers love freefall because it's the closest possible thing to true human flight. Now everyone can experience the same exhilaration, in a safe environment, in full view of family and friends!

Everything that you need for a flight experience is waiting for you at iFLY. The innovative sport of bodyflight is always new and always exciting.

The entire process lasts roughly 90 minutes. Each flight package includes not only your flight time, but also your pre-flight training and gear rental. Guests must be ages 3 and up and weigh under 300lbs to participate.

Please note that flying is not recommend for individuals who are pregnant, have a history of neck, back, or heart problems, or have had a prior shoulder dislocation.

Is indoor skydiving safe?

Safety is the top priority. The unique wall-to-wall air column design, along with certified and highly-trained instructors, ensures a secure and enjoyable flight experience. Regardless of your level of experience, a dedicated flight instructor is right there with you throughout your flight.

How does indoor skydiving work?

A vertical wind tunnel utilizes fans at the top to pull air through the flight chamber, which is then pushed down the sides through Return Air Towers. This process passes the air through an inlet contractor, compressing and accelerating it before it reenters the flight chamber. The outcome is a steady column of air that allows you to achieve flight.

Why is a flight suit required?

The instructors use the handles on your flight suit to provide assistance as needed.

Can I fly with my friends and family members?

In most sessions, multiple people take fly together. Your friends and family will share the same group, but you'll fly individually in the flight chamber, guided one-on-one by your instructor. As you gain more flight experience, you can join others with similar skills in the tunnel. If someone wishes to watch, they are welcome to accompany you during your experience and observe from the designated area.
