iFLY San Antonio is an indoor skydiving facility where individuals can experience the thrill of flight in a vertical wind tunnel under the guidance of expert instructors.
iFLY San Antonio is located off of I-10 on the city's northwest side at the intersection of Loop 1604. The address is 15915 I-10, San Antonio, TX 78249.
The indoor skydiving facilities of iFLY recreate the freefall portion of a skydive with its recirculating wind flow, similar to skydiving flight experiences. Skydivers worldwide use wind tunnels as training facilities because of their similarity to the real thing.
The entire experience lasts approximately 1.5 hours, including check-in, training session, flight time, gear removal, and time to look at the photos and video if interested. This experience includes two one-minute flights, more than double the freefall portion in outdoor skydiving that lasts 45 to 60 seconds.
Yes, the iFLY vertical wind tunnel uses superior technology to produce smooth wall-to-wall airflow that is safe to fly in. Certified flight instructors will also ensure safe and enjoyable flight sessions—your instructor will be with you throughout your flight, regardless of your experience level.
Individuals who exceed 300lbs will not be permitted to fly. Flyers weighing between 260–300lbs require additional evaluation by an iFLY staff member upon check-in to determine if they can be accommodated and whether additional restrictions apply.
There are no height restrictions.
You must be at least three (3) years or older. Individuals under 18 years of age need to have a parent or guardian sign their waiver.
Yes, flying is not recommended for individuals who are pregnant, have non-removable hard cast/prosthetics, head, neck, back, or shoulder injury, or have a heart condition or any other condition that may impede their ability to take part in physical activity or increase the risk of injury.
Flight suits will be worn over your clothes, so casual non-restrictive clothing (preferably pants and a shirt without a collar) should be worn, along with well-fitting, lace-up sneakers or running shoes. Flyers with long hair should secure it back braided or in a low bun to fit the helmet.
Yes, iFLY has larger goggles that can fit over eyeglasses.
