Indoor skydiving at iFLY San Diego recreates the freefall portion of a skydive with its recirculating wind flow, similar to skydiving flight experiences. Skydivers worldwide use wind tunnels as training facilities because of their similarity to the real thing.
Each flight in the vertical wind tunnel lasts 60 seconds. When jumping from an airplane, the free fall portion lasts approximately 45 seconds. The total experience lasts approximately 1.5 hours and includes two (2) one-minute flights.

Yes, flyers must not exceed 300lbs. For the safety of guests and instructors alike, individuals weighing between 260–300lbs are subject to additional evaluation by the iFLY staff to determine if they can be accommodated and whether additional restrictions may apply.

Yes, flying is not recommended for individuals who are pregnant, have non-removable hard cast/prosthetics, head, neck, back, or shoulder injury, or have a heart condition or any other condition that may impede their ability to take part in physical activity or increase the risk of injury.
Flight suits will be worn over casual clothes, preferably pants and a shirt without a collar. Comfortable, non-restrictive clothing should be worn with well-fitting, lace-up sneakers or running shoes. Flyers with long hair should secure it back braided or in a low bun to fit the helmet.
