Description

Raft the Ocoee River with Nantahala Outdoor Center, rated "One of the Best Outfitters on Earth" by National Geographic Adventure and the "#1 Vacation with a Splash" by Good Morning America.

The journey begins at the NOC Ocoee Outpost in Benton, TN, where you’ll gear up and receive a comprehensive safety briefing. Once on the water, the action starts immediately with "Grumpy," an explosive entrance rapid that sets the tone for the day. You’ll navigate through a relentless series of drops and waves, including fan favorites like Broken Nose, Double Trouble, and the high-velocity Table Saw. Unlike many other rivers, the Ocoee features very little downtime, keeping your heart racing and your paddle moving from start to finish.

Under the expert guidance of NOC’s professional river guides, you will master the maneuvers required to conquer the Ocoee’s "Big Water." Between rapids, take a moment to soak in the stunning scenery of the Cherokee National Forest, where the river winds through a deep, lush gorge. This dam-controlled river provides consistent, world-class whitewater throughout the season, making it a reliable and unforgettable highlight of any Southeast vacation.
