The free public spaces on Floors 1 and 2 open at 10:00 am daily and do not require a ticket. Enjoy artist JR's Chronicles of San Francisco, Sol LeWitt's Wall Drawing 895: Loopy Doopy (white and blue), and Julie Mehretu's HOWL, eon (I, II), or visit our two Museum Stores. To enter the galleries, a ticket is required.
Eating and drinking are prohibited in the museum galleries but are allowed in designated areas. You may bring sealed food and drink containers into the museum if they are packed away in a bag and not consumed inside the galleries.
Strollers are permitted inside the museum unless otherwise noted on the gallery or specific exhibit.
Yes, however, backpacks must be carried by hand below the waist or worn on the front of your body at all times.
Parking is available at the SFMOMA Parking Garage at 147 Minna Street, located a few steps from the museum’s main entrance on Third Street. Limited bicycle parking is also available. SFMOMA members receive 25% off parking and non-members are offered a 10% discount. Parking tickets can be self-validated at the coat check on Floor 1.
Pets are not permitted at SFMOMA. Only service animals on a leash are permitted.
Non-flash photography and videography are allowed for personal, noncommercial use (except where indicated). Tripods and selfie sticks are prohibited.
