The Tropics Boat Tours recommends using the Clearwater Ferry and parking for FREE in Downtown Clearwater if you are joining the tour during their operating hours on Thursdays - Sundays. This service offers fast and efficient travel across the water, avoiding the traffic on the bridge and the parking on Clearwater Beach. Due to the popularity and development of Clearwater Beach as a tourism destination, parking on-site is limited. There are great options for parking on Clearwater Beach but none of them are guaranteed as they all fill up on a first-come, first-serve basis.
North Beach Parking Garage: this parking option is located on the Northside of Clearwater Beach, at about 15-minutes' walking distance from the tour location. Yes, the ramp is wide enough to cater to most manual wheelchairs. However, if the wheelchair is wider than 22", it will not fit through the lower deck threshold. In that case, the wheelchair guest may be confined to the bow (front) area of the boat, which is considered the best seat in the house. Another option is if the guest has some walking ability, they can collapse the wheelchair, as the first seat on the inside lower level is just two steps from the threshold. When boarding, wheelchair guests board last for prime seating on the bow. The crew is not permitted to lift wheelchairs or any mobility equipment. The Catamaran is NOT accessible to Power Chairs. They are too heavy and create an unsafe environment for the customer and crew during boarding.
