The show's creator, David Saxe, hails from a prominent Las Vegas showbiz family. His mother dazzled audiences as a showgirl in Les Folies Bergere, while his father led the band for "The Rat Pack." Growing up in the midst of it all, David developed a deep appreciation for specialty acts, which became his favorite part of the shows.

In those days, these acts served as transitions during set and costume changes, but David envisioned bringing them to the forefront. This led him to conceive a variety show that would showcase the world's finest and most unique short performances, all on one stage—a show tailored for everyone: V - The Ultimate Variety Show.
