Yes, you will find plenty of parking spots around the Telegraph Cove marina. Parking fees may apply.

Is the tour wheelchair accessible?

No. Zodiac boats are not equipped to accommodate passengers who use wheelchairs. For safety reasons, all passengers must be able to board and disembark without assistance, as helping during these steps may create safety hazards.

Are strollers allowed on board?

Due to safety reasons, strollers are not allowed onboard the Zodiac boat, but you can leave them at the Prince of Whales office during your trip.

Are pets allowed?

No pets or service animals are allowed on the Zodiac boat.

Does the tour offer food and beverages?

Snacks and drinks are not provided on the Zodiac boats but you are welcome to bring your own. Keep in mind to limit your liquid intake aboard the Zodiac boat.

Are there any restrooms on board?

No, Zodiac boats are open-air and therefore do not have restrooms on board. Please use the public washrooms (located next to the Prince of Whales office) before the tour departure.

When is the best time of day for whale watching?

Whales are active throughout the day and their behaviour changes as groups encounter each other. For the best light for photography, morning departures are ideal.

What should I wear?

It can get chilly on the water, so wear a windbreaker, sweater, long pants, and closed-toe shoes.

What should I bring?

Bring government-issued ID and the credit card you used for purchasing tickets to the tour (ID must match the name on the credit card), sunglasses, sunscreen, a snug hat, a camera, and don’t forget your sense of adventure!

Are Zodiac boat tours safe?

Yes, all captains and vessels are Transport Canada certified. Zodiacs are fast yet stable, and the tour focuses on sightseeing, not high-speed tricks or sharp turns.

What happens during inclement weather?

Tours operate rain or shine. However, your safety is the priority, so in extreme weather conditions or high winds, adventures may be canceled at the discretion of the Prince of Whales' qualified crew. They will be in touch should this be the case.
